Ann I’m making this right now, so I haven’t tasted it yet. It smells great. I can tell you that one minute is not long enough to cook a proper roux. It was more like 10 minutes of low heat and stirring. I was always taught when I was growing up in the south that the roux should be the color of a copper penny. It does take a while.
